Kaesler Stonehorse Grenache Shiraz Mourvèdre 2003
Barossa Valley, South Australia, AustraliaThe "Stonehorse" wines are constructed to highlight the fruit characteristics of the blend with less influence from new oak. Initial reduced, rubbery nose with black cherry, licorice root and gamey hints. With some time in the glass more fruit aromas of strawberry and raspberry jam come forward. Soft, round, supple, slightly tannic entry with juicy acidity and some high alcohol. Big black raspberry jam, orange peel, peppery, spicy, plum and licorice flavours. Ripe and fruity but needs decanting as it's very young.Tasted: 10 February 2005Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $29.95 | 750ml | Specialty |
