Western Cape, South AfricaThis is a blended wine made mainly from Shiraz, Grenache, Carignan and Viognier, grown in different areas of the Western Cape. Look for a spicy, gamey, blackberry, licorice aromas with a bit of chocolate and vanilla. Ripe, round, supple and dry with light tannins but quite warm. Coffee vanilla, peppery, pruny, spicy, orange peel, blackberry jam flavours with some cherry licorice. Good intensity but a bit alcoholic and fresh on the finish.Tasted: 07 February 2005Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
