Chateau Teyssier Montagne St. Emilion 2001

Montagne - Saint Emilion, Libourne, Bordeaux, FranceDourthe has been operating this property since 1992 and has a 25 year contract in place. The Teyssier blend is mostly merlot, some 85 per cent with a 12/3 split of cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon which explains the round stylish entry with that leafy, forest floor St. Émilion edge. Currently in a tight mode but with big black cherry fruit and firm but soft tannins. Look for this to emerge with another year or so of bottle age into a solid dinner/restaurant wine.Tasted: 16 February 2005Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
