Ferngrove Shiraz 2001
Franklin River, Great Southern, Western Australia, AustraliaThere was a time when Western Australia red wine in this market was a rare as bargain but not any more. This is delicious, and ripe West Oz shiraz that should have wide appeal. The nose mixes spice, plums and licorice with the typical earthy mocha chocolate notes. Love the rich sweet finish. Moderately priced too, given the appellation and quality.Tasted: 10 December 2004Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $20.99 | 750ml | Marquis Wine Cellars |
