Penascal Tempranillo 2001

Castilla-Leon, SpainNot quite New wave Spanish with its gamey, smoky, black cherry, peppery, saddle leather aromas and underlying garrigue notes. Still we like the soft round, elegant entry and the fresh cherry, spicy, peppery, gamey earthy flavours. A bit acidic but has good fruit flavour intensity. A hamburger or pizza would be a perfect match.Tasted: 05 November 2004Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
