Chateau d'Armajan des Ormes Sauternes 1999

Sauternes, Graves, Bordeaux, FranceRipe apricot, baked pear, melon, mineral notes with buttery/egg yolk aromas. The style is elegant with more mineral, apricot, baked red apple, honey and pear flavours. It's not a powerhouse Sauternes but we like the finesse and the price. The softer acidity indicates this is ready to drink, perhaps perfect for the Holiday season. Although the chateau's castle dates back to Charles IX and Louis XV, this small estate is little known.Tasted: 05 November 2004Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
