Black Hills Nota Bene 2002
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaYear four of Nota Bene is the best yet from the tiny South Okanagan winery but it remains a work in progress. The nose is a mix of black pepper, sausage, sweaty saddle leather, resiny, rootsy, leafy, roasted bell pepper aromas. The entry is rich, smooth and alcoholic and tannins are ripe. The flavours are similar in nature with smoky vanilla, green bean, olive, cassis and resin with black cherry, stewed tomato and roasted peppers. Tasted 3 times this year, it has improved in bottle but it's still herbaceous and somewhat short.Tasted: 04 November 2004Tasted by: Prices:BC | $31.95 | 750ml | $31.95 was the release price. |
