Sandhill Cabernet Franc Burrowing Owl Vineyard 2002
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFinally a ripe cabernet franc. Look for spicy tobacco leaf, leather, cherry jam, smoky, cedar and cranberry aromas mixed with compost and some toasty vanilla. Medium bodied, round, ripe and fairly supple style with very smoky, spicy, cherry, raspberry, cedar, vanilla flavours and typical strong cigar, rootsy vanilla finish. A bit young but well balanced and well made. It even has some St. Émilion similarities. Try now or over the next 2 years.Tasted: 14 October 2004Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $17.49 | 750ml | Private Wine Shops, Grady Wine Marketing |
