Katnook Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2001
Coonawarra, South Australia, AustraliaCoffee, saddle leather, peppery, black olive, vanilla and cedar aromas with a hint of cassis. Rich, round, dry entry with quite grainy tannins. Lots of coffee, cherry jam, cassis, peppery, vanilla, smoky cedar flavours with a cardamom, tarry finish with fairly high acidity. Quite intense and firm but has some good finesse. Needs 2-5 years to soften and integrate, serve now with juicy T-bone steak.Tasted: 12 October 2004Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $39.00 | 750ml | Specialty |
