Tatachilla Foundation Shiraz 2000

McLaren Vale, South Australia, AustraliaSpicy, smoky bacon, gamey, black cherry jam, saddle leather aromas with some black licorice tones. Soft, round, ripe and quite suave with peppery, licorice root, vanilla cola, spicy, black plum flavours. Warm, slightly dry tannic finish with some toasty oak and prune streaks. Nice intensity and concentration, needs 2-4 years to soften out and integrate but definitely shows McLaren Vale fruit.Tasted: 22 August 2004Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
