Ségu Carignan 2001
Valle del Maule, Region del Valle Central, ChileCarignan is virtually unknown in Chile but for this tobacco, earthy, grilled mushroom and orange peel scented label from Ségu. On the palate it is dry and round showing some edgy acidity and tannins. Black cherry, pepper, spice, grilled game and licorice flavours dominate with some tobacco on the finish. Somewhat out-of-balance with the high acidity and warm, lean finish.Tasted: 24 August 2004Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $13.99 | 750ml | Private Wine Shops |
