Cahors, Sud-Ouest, FranceDark cherry colour. Very peppery, waxy, earthy, compost, black cherry, smoky licorice nose. Big, rich, blocky wine with some dry tannins. Huge smoky, black cherry, licorice, spicy, earthy, clove flavours. Quite smooth and warm with lots of flavour, needs to shed a bit of tannin but well balanced. Try with an oven roasted duck or goose.
