Napa Valley, California, United StatesThis is truly syrah and not shiraz with an intense blackberry, gamey, garrigue, saddle leather, smoky nose streaked with licorice and black plum. Ripe, round, smooth and dry with ripe, fine tannins. A bit alcoholic on the palate with very ripe black cherry, black plum, vanilla, smoky, peppery spicy flavours with a floral, licorice, chocolate finish. Well balanced with fine syrah character.
