Serre Longue 2002
CĂ´tes du Roussillon, Roussillon, Sud de France, FranceVery dark cherry colour. Super spicy, garrigue, black berry jam, black raspberry, vanilla peppery nose with smoky, gamey, licorice notes. Rich, ripe and round with light, dry tannins that are a bit youthful. Quite hot (at 16 per cent alcohol!) on the palate but great spicy, cedar-y, vanilla, smoky garrigue flavours fused with big black raspberry, blackberry jam and licorice. Young and hot but well balanced. This has the potential to improve over the next 2-3 years. A real fall or winter rich food wine.Tasted: 17 July 2004Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $35.00 | 750ml |
