Morandé Carmenère 2002
Region del Valle Central, ChileWhat pleasant discovery. I'm not usually keen on the herbaceous carmenère style but this wine is totally ripe. The fruit is juicy ripe and streaked with earthy peppery flavours. The finish is silky smooth. This is big time value well under $13. Pity it's not distributed province wide.Tasted: 25 July 2004Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $12.49 | 750ml | Private Wine Shops |
