Chateau St. Jean Cabernet Sauvignon 2001

Sonoma County, California, United StatesBlackberry, garrigue, peppery, cedar, vanilla aromas with some chocolate and leather. Rich, round, smooth and dry with light tannins. Very spicy, peppery, chocolate, blackberry, cassis, cedar-y vanilla flavours. Firm and dense if a bit alcoholic but lots of flavour and elegance. Needs 2-4 years to fully round out but very well made. Impressive and stylish Sonoma.Tasted: 03 July 2004Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
