Baltasar Gracián Varietales 2002
Calatayud, Aragon, SpainDeep black cherry colour. Big reductive nose but improves with air. Lots of coffee, pepper, blackberry, garrigue, plum and roasted meat aromas. Very firm but smooth, rich and dry. Intense licorice, black cherry, spicy, peppery, gamey vanilla coffee flavours. Needs a year or two to round out and develop but drinkable now with a steak or leg of lamb. The artificial cork keeps the nose fresher and slightly reduced so decant before drinking to improve. Good value, worth trying.Tasted: 07 July 2004Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $29.95 | 750ml | Restricted - LIquid Art |
