Pfaff Tokay Pinot Gris Steinert 2001
Alsace, FranceSouth of the town of Pfaffenheim and facing east is the slope of Steinert covering almost 39 hectares all on limestone. Mineral, spicy, green apple skin, honey with a touch of baked peach. Rich, round, intense palate with lots of peach, mineral, spicy, honey, buttery, and earth flavours. Good acidity and balance although a touch warm. Very good overall intensity, definitely a late harvest but has finesse.Tasted: 23 June 2004Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $31.00 | 750ml | |
