Sandhill Small Lots Program Three Burrowing Owl Vineyard 2001
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaOpen stewed cherries, rootsy, smoky, saddle leather aromas with some black olive and licorice. Dry, round and very smooth with tobacco, spicy, earthy, black olive, cherry and smoky vanilla flavours with acidity showing through on the finish. Interesting experimental blend, should develop a bit further in bottle over the next year or so. The merlot and cab tend to dominate the Italian grapes adding a bit too much of the olive-y, herbal characters. The blend is 50/30/10/10/50 sangiovese/barbera/merlot and cabernet sauvignon.Tasted: 03 May 2004Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $28.99 | 750ml | Winery; Granville Island Brewing Retail Store |
