Orange, New South Wales, AustraliaThe area surrounding the town of Orange in New South Wales is emerging as a serious wine growing region. Rosemount's Orange vineyard is located in the foothills of Mount Canobolas at 875 to 900 metres above sea level which contributes to its smoky, coffee, vanilla, black cherry/cassis fruit nose with tobacco/saddle leather notes. The tannins are firm but well managed the flavours fruity with streaks of vanilla, tobacco, coffee and cassis jam flavours. The finish is a savoury, smooth and concentrated.
