Dunavár Chardonnay 2003

At $8.99 it's hard to quibble with this grassy/melon scented chardonnay. The flavours are a similar mix of honey and melon that with a little extra acid could really sing. Affordable entry level chardonnay that should do the job with light white meat dishes. Dunavár, literally translated, means Danube Castle. The name is a registered trademark established by Danubiana Borkereskedô, a company which is located in Bonyhad, Hungary. Danubiana itself is a subsidiary company of Binderer-St. Ursula (BSU) which is a major German wine company located in Bingen.Tasted: 18 May 2004Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
