Tasca d'Almerita Camastra Nero d'Avola Merlot 2000
Sicily, ItalyAn enticing blend of 75% nero d'Avola and 25% merlot grapes made from 15-year old vines. The nose is intense mixing black cherry jam, mint, and tobacco with pepper, streaks of coffee and smoke. The palate is supple with plum, black cherry, gamey notes mixed with coffee, licorice peppery flavours and a smoky, vanilla, tobacco finish.
