Tuscany, ItalyLodola Nuova is a 90/10 blend of sangiovese and canaiolo. Tasted twice the second bottle was better showing firm peppery, cherry jam fruit with vanilla and licorice. It's dry as Italian reds can be but the balance and structure is fine. More peppery, licorice flavours streaked with gamey, black cherry flavours with some dry, chunky tannins on the finish.
