Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesThis non vintage table wine is a blend of vintages: 2002 (76%), 2001 (15%) and 2000 (9%). Its black cherry colour is almost opaque. The nose has an attractive vanilla, smoky, Christmas cake note mixed with roasted bell pepper and cherries. Rich, round, supple with ripe tannins. Sweet vanilla, spicy, smoky oak, cherry jam flavours with some licorice and orange peel. A bit warm and dry on the finish but good intensity, lots here for your dollar. (The lot number indicates how many table wines Bookwalter has issued since they opened in 1983.
