Tuscany, ItalyRomitorio is an unusual 60/40 blend of colorino and merlot that was launched in 1990 but not exported until 2000. Look for mocha, coffee, peppery, gamey, black plum fruit and licorice with streaks of violet, vanilla and floral spices. It's rich, round and warm on the palate with grainy, soft tannins and plum, mocha, coffee, vanilla, cardamom flavours. The finish delivers more saddle leather, mint and smoked cherry fruit.
