Monti Barolo Bussia 2000
Montforte d'Alba, Cuneo, Piedmont, ItalyBig weedy, tobacco, prune, peppery nose with cherry notes and saddle leather - quite an unusual old style. Dry, lean and moderately tannic with coffee, tarry, strawberry jam, vanilla spice flavours. Good flavour intensity but slightly higher acidity and the tannic finish make this a bit mean. Needs time, 5-8 years to settle out.Tasted: 04 March 2004Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $136.95 | 750ml | |
