Montirius Gigondas 2000

Gigondas, Southern Rhone, Rhone Valley, FrancePeppery, spicy, gamey nose with mineral, cooked prunes and jammy fruit aromas. The entry is big rich and warm (alcoholic) with some dry tannins. Prune plum, peppery, licorice root, meaty, orange peel flavours. Needs a bit of time to soften but overall it will be big and hot forever. Best served a touch cool on a cold night with a lamb leg.Tasted: 18 February 2004Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
