Monterey County, Central Coast, California, United StatesMade from selected plots and vines 4-6 years old. Intense black cherry colour. Peppery, spicy, resiny, saddle leather nose with clove, vanilla, eucalyptus and gamey black cherry highlights. Ripe, rich and round with a smooth, elegant structure. Fresh black plum, liquorice, rootsy, smoky, spicy flavours and a eucalyptus, vanilla, clove finish. A bit dry with high acidity but great fruit and quite a feat for young vines.
