Harrison Hill Dixième Anniversaire 2001

Yakima Valley, Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesBlack pepper, earthy, saddle leather, cardamom aromas with some blackberry and cherry fruit mark the nose of this forty-year old, single vineyard, wine. The entry is dry and firm with some grainy tannins but fine structure and balance. Spicy, clove, vanilla, black cherry, mocha, licorice flavours mix with its long vanilla, cherry, smoky finish. Elegant with some finesse which is unusual for Washington but it lacks the big fruit that some labels display.Tasted: 23 February 2004Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
