Serafino Cabernet Sauvignon 2001

McLaren Vale, South Australia, AustraliaAfter watching several vintages due to a non-compete clause the Maglieri family is back in business. Smoky, cedar, vanilla, saddle leather, blackberry jam cola aromas. Rich, ripe, slightly tannic structure with elevated acidity. Big blackberry, olive, smoky vanilla oak, peppery flavours with resiny, green bean aftertaste. A bit dry and lean on the finish needs a few years to round out but is a bit hollow on the mid-palate.Tasted: 17 January 2004Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
