Gagliole Rosso 2001
Tuscany, ItalyGagliole Rosso is a very savoury, gamey, ripe black cherry jam, licorice and clove aromas with some mocha/vanilla notes. Dry, rich and concentrated with dry, grainy tannins but decent elegance. Very warm palate with big peppery, spicy, vanilla, cherry, plum jam flavours with some cedar, smoky vanilla on the finish. A bit alcoholic but very good fruit. Needs 2-5 years to fully come around.Tasted: 28 January 2004Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $79.00 | 750ml | Speculative - Liquid Art Fine Wines |
