Baron de Montesquieu Reserve Bordeaux 2002
Bordeaux, FranceFrench philosopher, Charles-Louis de Secondat, Baron de Montesquieu, was also a noted winemaker at his family's Medieval castle, La Brede, that lies south of the city of Bordeaux, where his descendants continue his winemaking tradition. Look for a leesy, mineral, grassy, bell pepper nose from this 50/50 blend of sémillon and sauvignon blanc. Very dry, lean structure with grapefruit, grassy, kiwi, mineral flavours and just a touch of oak. Crisp and fresh and lean bring on the shellfish.Tasted: 29 January 2004Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $14.95 | 750ml | Specialty |
