Lincoln Merlot Winemaker Series 2001
Gisborne - Poverty Bay, North Island, New ZealandAfter a corked wine episode a second bottle, complete with a synthetic cork, proved to be a big improvement. The Lincoln winemaker series is one hundred per cent merlot and it sees no oak. The plummy fruit is fresh and vibrant with a soft sheen and a fine undercurrent of fresh herbs and tannin in the finish. Solid effort that should improve in the bottle for another two to four years.Tasted: 23 December 2003Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $19.95 | 750ml | Speculative - Delf Group |
