Hazyblur Shiraz 2001
McLaren Vale, South Australia, AustraliaLocated in Barossa Valley, Hazyblur is a tiny winery owned and operated by Ross Trimboli. He purchased vineyards in the Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale, Barossa, and Baroota. The McLaren Vale Shiraz is made from 65-year old vines cropped at 2 tons of fruit per acre. Only 300 cases were produced - 120 bottles have been secured for western Canada. Look for spicy, ripe black berry jam, vanilla, and five-spice aromas mixed with smoky cola a touch of saddle leather. Rich, ripe and smooth with light, grainy tannins. Big black cherry jam, peppery, vanilla, smoky bacon flavours. Very smooth, rich style with good acidity. Will improve over the next few years.Tasted: 03 December 2003Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $53.95 | 750ml | Speculative - Winspeer |
