Douro Valley, Northern Portugal, PortugalFine Tawny is aged for about the same amount of time as Cockburn's Fine Ruby (about three years), but in smaller barrels to hasten the ageing process. We like the spicy, peppery, tea leaf, rancio nutty nose with a bit of spirit showing. On the palate it is smooth and elegant with fine acidity and sweetness all in balance.
