Region del Valle Central, ChileMost of the fruit is hand-picked and fermented in stainless steel before some 60 per cent is aged in French and American oak for six months. Look for spicy, smoky prune aromas with streaks of leafy, tobacco in what is a soft and seductive red that contains about 7 per cent cabernet sauvignon. Dried cherry flavours fade into a smoky, vanilla mocha chocolate finish which belies its price.
