Penny's Hill McLaren Vale Grenache 2001

McLaren Vale, South Australia, AustraliaSmoky, resiny, peppery, plum jam nose with light vanilla, mocha notes and a hint of marmalade. Very warm, soft and round with spicy, vanilla, Christmas cake creamy cola flavours and a chocolate raspberry jam finish. A bit dry in the finish but it remains an elegant red. Try with duck or goose this season or age a year or so.Tasted: 09 November 2003Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
