Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe CC Meritage is a 43/50/7 blend of merlot/cabernet sauvignon/cabernet franc all aged in 100 per cent French oak. The grapes come off four Okanagan vineyards: Hardman, Black Hills, Sharp Rock and Mauz vineyards. Look for an open coffee, peppery, clove, chocolate, spicy barnyard nose with streaks of leather, black berry and earth. Elegant, round and a touch alcoholic with some dry tannins to lose yet. Very peppery, spicy, clove vanilla flavours with black cherry jam, black berry and licorice root streaks. Quite balanced but tight.
