Prunotto Barolo 1998
Piedmont, ItalyThis Barolo hails from vineyards in the areas of Monforte, Serralunga and Castiglione Falletto. Expect a tarry, resiny, peppery, sandalwood nose with some floral, plum aromas. Built for aging with dry, chewy tannins and some acidity. Good cherry, smoky, peppery, tarry, mocha flavours. Needs five years to round out but it is not without finesse. Prunotto definitely has a tighter, structured style with good fruit.Tasted: 08 September 2003Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $70.00 | 750ml | Specialty |
