Prunotto Barbaresco Bric Turot 1999

Piedmont, ItalyThis wine comes from the Bric Turot vineyard in Barbaresco whose origins go back to the Tortonian - Messinian era. The soils are rich in calcareous clay, magnesium, manganese and zinc. Look for big cedary, peppery, smoky leather, plum and cherry aromas with mocha and licorice. Rich and flavourful but quite high acidity with dry, refined tannins. Very good structure overall but more elegant style. Mocha, black cherry, peppery, licorice, almond and vanilla flavours. Needs time soften or ossu buco.Tasted: 08 September 2003Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
