Poggio Cenni Chianti Colli Senesi 2001

Siena, Tuscany, ItalySpicy, gamey, black cherry, earthy tobacco aromas. Rich and somewhat dry with more chewy tannins on the mid-palate. Lots of peppery, spicy, black cherry fruit flavours finish up with some smoky notes. Quite young and tight. Will need a few years to come around but good intensity for a 2001.Tasted: 28 September 2003Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
