Frescobaldi Santa Maria Morellino di Scansano 2002

Morellino di Scansano, Maremma, Tuscany, ItalyThe fruit is predominately sangiovese with a touch of cabernet. Look for a ripe black cherry, licorice, damp earth nose with peppery/game aromas. Round and elegant with good weight and length but quite warm and dry. Very spicy, peppery, sour cherry, smoky earth flavours with some dry tannins and acidity on the finish. Needs some time.Tasted: 08 September 2003Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
