The Fifteen Grenache 2001
Les Pyrénées Orientales, Vin de Pays d'Oc, Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceBig rich raspberry confiture earthy mushroom nose that is very grenache and very south of France. The grapes are grown in vineyards in the Roussillon / Mediterranean region near the France / Spain border. The Fifteen moniker refers to the 15 degrees of alcohol in this big warm red. It's rich round soft and plummy on the palate with a peppery, slightly dry finish. If big powerful reds are in your wheelhouse this one is for you. Drink all fall as the rain pours down and serve with duck or goose.Tasted: 12 August 2003Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $19.99 | 750ml |
