Mas Aupellière 2000

Costières de Nîmes, Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceAupellière is an enticing blend of 80 per cent syrah and 20 per cent grenache all hand-picked fruit from vines that average 42 years of age. Look for a nose of black cherry/raspberry jam with almonds and a hint of prunes and leather. Plenty of cherry, gamy/earthy flavours make this a winner in the mouth. It is both well balanced and elegant with good acidity and a jammy (confiture) finish. Well made and tasty. Drink now.Tasted: 12 August 2003Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
