Houghton Shiraz 2001

Western Australia, AustraliaThe wine is a blend of grapes from Frankland River and Swan Valley. Look for a smoky, resiny, peppery, vanilla smoky nose. Similar resiny, dry earthy peppery mark the entry and mid-palate with more of that pronounced Oz acidity. The finish is black raspberry and earth but less acidity and more fruit would be more desirable.Tasted: 28 August 2003Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
