Alkoomi Frankland River Shiraz 2001
Great Southern, Western Australia, AustraliaOpen meaty, licorice, stewed prune and tea leave nose with a whack of spice in the back. Big rich mid-palate with dark fruit and more licorice, gamy undertones. There's heightened acidity here too but this time the structure of the wine carries it better. Warm, tannic and intense.
