Matakana Estate Chardonnay 2000
Matakana, Auckland, North Island, New ZealandBig buttery oak, vanilla, honey, spicy lees nose but not much fruit. Very round and fat with huge buttery, vanilla, honey/toffee/vanilla flavours with some crisp citrus notes on the finish. Clearly an oaky style and at this point fully mature. This would be a better bet upon release.
