Ballast Stone Grenache 2001

South Australia, AustraliaA blend of McLaren Vale and Currency Creek Grenache all barrel-fermented in two-year-old hogsheads this wine is fresh and ready to enjoy. We like the lifted black raspberry jam and floral straw nose streaked with pepper. It's rich juicy fruit flavours and spicy warm flavours on the mid-palate invite you into the glass and its cherry kirsch flavoured aftertaste. The perfect duck confit wine.Tasted: 07 June 2003Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
