Ballast Stone Currency Creek Shiraz 2001
Currency Creek, Fleurieu Peninsula, South Australia, AustraliaGrown on the Cottage Block Vineyard at Currency Creek, the 01 shiraz spends 15 months in 75 per cent American oak and 25 per cent French. Look for a spicy jammy sandalwood nose streaked with game and vanilla. It has a rich round, dense, red fruit entry with lots of smoky vanilla and blackberry jam. The finish is big and full of vanilla, coffee and toffee. Very tasty stuff from an excellent vintage.Tasted: 07 June 2003Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $24.95 | 750ml | |
