Margaret River, Western Australia, AustraliaThe 2000 vintage of cabernet merlot was the first off the new vineyard in Margaret River -- the Heytesbury Vineyard. Crops were kept at around 3 tonne per hectare, Look for mocha coffee, compost and a weedy, green olive nose. Smooth sleek entry and fine elegance with similar flavours and some coffee mint in the finish. A trace of elevated acidity marks the smooth textures in the finish. Expect a bit of dry fine grain tannins in the finish.
